The Seiko Alpinist has a well deserved reputation as one of the best in the Seiko line up. The green dial is beautiful and it feels great to have a combination of aesthetics, specifications and finishing at this price point.
I’ve got a mix of Japanese and Swiss watches across all genres, and the Seiko Alpinist SPB121J has become one of my absolute favourites in the collection. It’s got that perfect mix of rugged field watch vibes with a touch of elegance. The green sunburst dial and cathedral hands look incredible in any light.
Build quality is top-notch, the 6R35 movement runs beautifully, and it just wears perfectly on the wrist.
Also, a big thumbs up to Watch Depot. They had the best price when I bought mine, and the delivery was super quick and hassle-free. Couldn’t be happier!
I have wanted this watch for quite some time. Now I own one I am so happy. The accuracy, once it ran for a few days, has settled into approx 1 second a day gain. I purchased a green strap to suit the green dial and wow.
I have a field watch, dress watch, and a Speedtimer from Seiko, but the Alpinist has its own charm.
The case finish, green dial, cathedral hands and the legacy of twin crowns - all make the Seiko Alpinist SPB121J an absolute beauty and a must have for every collector. The way it fits on my slim 6 inch wrist is extraordinary. So good, that this is now the only watch I want to wear for every occasion. The watch does an appeal of a good GADA watch.
A gorgeous watch, I think made better for me with the addition of an Oyster band. This watch looks great for formal use and casual outdoors, not too heavy as well. For the price paid I am very happy
After wanting one of these watches for many years now, I’ve finally pulled the trigger on it and why I didn’t do it earlier astounds me. Easy to read, lovely to look at and a joy to behold- after replacing the traditional leather band with a jubilee, I realised my mistake - leather only for this cowboy - but still wearing different outfits I’d take her out on the town anytime.
Great watch! I swapped the strap to a black rubber strap and it's made the watch even better.
This watch has an absolutely gorgeous dial with all the features well balanced in size. The different colours on details create a cohesive look and really make the green and brown pop. Also perfect for more regular wearing as it has that extra protection with the sapphire glass. It made the perfect gift (except now I want another for myself)

WOW!! What a great looking watch. Keeps time perfectly as one would expect from Seiko. You can wear this watch anywhere at all and it wouldn't look out of place, perfect!! I would recommend it to anyone wanting to add to their collection as I have.
