Here's Watch Depot's guide to changing the time on your Fossil watch

Fossil watches are often a little rustic-looking, but that doesn't mean they aren't packed with complicated movements and features. Depending on your type of Fossil watch, you may have to play around with the crown to figure out how to adjust each section of the timepiece.

Thankfully, there's some method to the madness, and if you know what you are doing it won't take long to figure out how to adjust your Fossil watch.

How to Change the Time on a Fossil Watch

To change the time on your Fossil watch, you'll need to locate the pull-out crown on the right side of the case.

This crown can be pulled to three positions, and you'll feel a click for each as you pull it out. If your fossil is a chronograph watch or multifunction, you will most likely need to move it to the 3rd position to change the time.

Other Fossil watches may only require you to pull the crown to the 2nd position. Play around with it, try out each position and see what they do.

Once you've moved the crown into the appropriate position, you will be able to turn the crown away from you to add time or towards you to subtract time. On a multifunction watch, the 24-hour time is adjusted along with the other two hands.

The seconds hand will freeze when the crown is pulled out, so you may need to line up the time with another clock to get it just right. If you have a date window, most Fossil watches will require you to turn the crown in its second position to make an adjustment. Once set, you can push the crown all the way back in to reset the watch to its normal state.

How To Use A Fossil Chronograph

To use your Fossil chronograph you just need to use the two pushers located on the case. Starting your stopwatch is as simple as pressing the top pusher on the side of the case, just make sure the crown is pushed all the way in first.

Once pressed, the minute and seconds subdials will begin ticking, and will continue until you press the top pusher again to pause. From this position, you can either use the top pusher to resume the chronograph, or the bottom pusher to reset it completely and stop. Keep in mind that the chronograph must be paused before you can reset it.

How To Fix Fossil Chronograph Starting After Zero

If your Fossil watch is starting before or after zero, you can adjust the starting point using the pushers when the crown is pulled to its third position. The top pusher will add seconds to the starting point, while the bottom pusher will subtract seconds.
