This model was a follow-up to the GSDS100, which was a lot clunkier and did not have the bluetooth features. It’s a model that was due for an upgrade and Casio has gone above and beyond!

The Case
In good old G-Shock fashion, the GSTB100D is an unashamedly large watch that is made to be seen. The watch comes in at 58.1mm lug-to-lug and 53.8mm in diameter with a thickness of 141.1mm. While it sure does make a statement on the wrist, G-Shock has taken all of the measures to ensure that it is comfortable and wearable. Given that this watch comes in the G-Steel line you’ll find that the whole watch is crafted in polished stainless steel from the case and bracelet to the bezel and even in the face. This results in some substantial weight adding up to approximately 185g. While some people like the feel of a heavier timepiece, this could also be a point to consider if you aren’t used to it.
Overall, the case has high quality finishes that really speak volume. One downside is that the GSTB100D does not feature the carbon core guard. However, there’s no need to worry, it’s still a G-Shock after all so it can manage any knocks, bumps or scrapes that come its way.
