Today I'll be looking at the 3 of the best brown leather watches in our collection while taking also showcasing some of our most popular watch brands. Each timepiece has its own charm, but I've gone for a selection of rustic designs that really fit this classic style.
If you're after a dress accessory, brown leather watches are always a top choice. I've made sure to pick some affordable watches so you can easily get this look.
Overview:
Fossil Townsman ME3061
The Fossil Townsman is not only one of our favourite leather watches but also one of Fossil’s very best, too. The rustic, earth-tone look has become a staple of the watchmaker’s range, and that look is done best right here.
The ME3061’s brown leather strap provides a very appealing backdrop to this charcoal and rose gold dial, and it feels comfortable too. We love Fossil watches for their classiness, and the automatic movement adds to that sophistication.
This is a full dial design, with seconds and 24-hour subdials in the middle, and there’s also that irresistible open heart that beats rhythmically between the two. With a 45mm diameter, this is also quite big for a dress watch.
That’s balanced by the fine indices and handset, which have an elegant rose gold design that is an excellent fit for brown leather. The stainless steel, too, offers a shiny, sleek contrast.
Onto the strap, and you can see a satisfying matte texture, with some nice stitchwork. I like the steel clasp also. It’s richly coloured, genuine leather, and it’s a major selling point for this timepiece.
Citizen NH8393-05A
Next up is the Citizen NH8393-05A. This is another brown leather and gold combo, although this is more of a yellow champagne gold. Citizen watches are always solid for their price, and considering this is a very nice-looking auto, I’d say it’s a great pickup.
The leather strap has a different look to the Fossil, with an alligator-like embossing. This is genuine cow leather, which is comfortable and breaks in very nicely after some wear.
With a white sunray dial and gold case, this timepiece has a crisp finish. I particularly like the shape of the day window – it fits really well with the classy look of this watch.
This is somewhat of a minimalist design, but the small additions are what make this watch. Compared to the Fossil timepiece, this has a lot of clarity, and even though there’s less going on, a lot of personality.
Seiko Presage SRPJ17J
The Seiko SRPJ17J is subtle, dressy and impressive in its earthy tone. Though this rustic leather strap is a much darker shade than the previous watches, the trend of gold accents and brown colouring continues.
I love how the details on this Seiko presage watch are so fine, like the seconds and minutes hands reaching right to the edge of the dial, and the tasteful pattern embellished onto the watch face.
The strap itself is smooth and richly coloured, which is something typical of the Cocktail Time series. It’s my personal favourite of the straps because its seek style fits so well with the rounded case and pretty much matches the dial colour.
This Seiko Presage is a very cohesive dress watch, and fits the rustic aesthetic nicely, although it does have a more modern style.
All three brown leather watches are available at Watch Depot, and we recommend them to anyone looking to get themselves their first leather watch.
